Wine, Smoothies, and Cubana

Today, me and my friends Kellyn and Beth walked around town for awhile in the morning, just seeing the sights and getting Kellyn's dad a cool Harley Davidson shirt. The best part was the smoothies we got that were made with real mangoes and strawberries! They were delicious beyond belief! We spent the afternoon on a wine tour, and it was fun smelling and tasting the different reds and whites; sometimes they can taste waaay different than they smell, which is pretty interesting. We got a tour of one of the wine cellars and a brief explanation on how to make wine as well. I bought a bottle of Pinoget, which is a red wine that smells like coffee and chocolate and tastes fruity; it was delicious, so I had to buy it! On our way there, we drove by the 3rd largest township in South Africa, and it hit me pretty hard. These kinds of places are not something Americans really see, and it is shocking and saddening to see. After that, we went to a restaurant called Cubana, which had some really good Cuban food and odd-tasting pina coladas. This lady at the restaurant worked in the bathroom, pumping soap into people's hands and giving them paper towels...well, we had to give her a tip! For things that we could do on our own...which was annoying. After dinner we walked back to the hotel and just chilled the rest of the night.
